85 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress which has been made in relation to granting recognition to Gael Coláiste St. Augustine's College, Duckspool, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26598/02]

The application for recognition of an all-Irish unit at St. Augustine's College is being considered in the planning section of my Department.

Every effort will be made to ensure that a decision is made in this case as soon as possible in 2003.
