Question:

694 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 will receive speech therapy for this person to take up a second level place in St. David's secondary school, Artane, Dublin 5, in September 2003. [1557/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 587 and 694 together.

The provision of health-related support services, including speech and language therapy, is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's questions have been referred to the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
