Vol. 560 No. 1

Written Answers. - Affordable Housing.

Tony Gregory

Question:

884 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the developers or builders he met or had communication with regarding the issue of social and affordable housing. [1104/03]

I assume the question refers to the review of Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000, which deals with housing supply including the provision of social and affordable housing.

The review was undertaken by officials of my Department late last year in consultation with major stakeholders. These included local authorities, professional institutes, social housing providers and other social housing interests, in addition to the Irish Home Builders Association which represented the views of house builders on the matter.
