Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Finian McGrath – the flooding crisis on the Tolka river, the need for dredging and the construction of flood prevention walls along the river; (2) Deputy Finneran – the need for the Government to address the employment crisis in the Roscommon-Longford constituency as a result of major job losses at Precision Castings, Roscommon town, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Monksland, south Roscommon, Glanbia Meats, Rooskey, County Roscommon and Square D, Ballinasloe; (3) Deputy Gogarty – the need to review the current proposal to locate a place of detention, headquarters and ancillary facilities at Newlands, Clondalkin; and (4) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to provide for St. Michael's House to provide services for citizens with intellectual disability on the north side of Dublin.

The matters raised by the Deputies Finneran, Finian McGrath, Broughan and Gogarty have been selected for discussion and will be taken now.
