Question:266 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Education and Science the consideration which is being made in implementing the cool schools programme on a national basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2451/03]
Written Answers. - School Bullying.
Prior to consideration of a national implementation of the cool schools anti-bullying programme, an independent evaluation of the pilot project needs to be undertaken and its impact analysed. It is hoped to agree the format of this evaluation shortly.
The evaluation will be considered in the context of my Department's social, personal and health education support service. Consideration will then be given to integrating the programme into the ongoing development and implementation of SPHE in schools.
