Vol. 562 No. 1

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

385 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Galway has not been called for a hip operation, in view of the fact that they were put on the waiting list on 1 March 2002 and promised that they would be called within six months; and when can this person expect to be called. [5389/03]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in this case and to reply directly to the Deputy.
