Vol. 562 No. 4

Written Answers - Patient Treatment.

Fergus O'Dowd

Question:

324 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Health and Children the situation with regard to the case of a person (details supplied) in County Louth whose child has stated that she was oversedated in a hospital without monitoring or consent. [6215/03]

Responsibility for the care and treatment of the person referred to by the Deputy rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
