353 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Transport when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for a driving test; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6307/03]

An appointment for a driving test has been arranged for the person concerned.

Question:

354 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Transport if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be offered a driving test in view of the fact that this person is under serious threat of losing their employment in Dublin and finds it increasingly difficult to commute from Kilcock each day; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An appointment for a driving test has been arranged for the person concerned.

355 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Transport if it is standard procedure to abandon a test when same was completed; when, and the reason, a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be required to resit same in the Naas test centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6477/03]

In this case the driving test was not completed as it had to be abandoned because of severe traffic congestion on the test route. A further test has been arranged for the person concerned.
