410 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when works on the regional water scheme in Fethard, County Tipperary, applied for by South Tipperary County Council, will be allowed to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6106/03]
The second stage of the Fethard water supply scheme has been approved for funding in my Department's water services investment programme, under the rural towns and villages initiative. My Department has sought further information in relation to the preliminary report for the scheme, submitted by South Tipperary County Council in August 2002 and receipt of the information from the council is awaited.
