Question:343 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science the general time scale for the construction of the new school for Stanhope St. Convents, Dublin 7. [7238/03]
Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.
My Department has recently grant aided the provision of a significant amount of temporary accommodation for Stanhope Street Convent National School. However, in view of the scale of the programme as now published and, having regard to the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, my Department does not envisage that it will be in a position during 2003 to initiate architectural planning on any further large scale building projects, including a permanent building project for the school in question. The budgetary allocation for 2004 and subsequent years will determine the rate of progress on projects that could not be included in this year's programme.
