247 Mr. Cregan asked the Minister for Finance if a tax clearance certificate will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who is unable to start a business without this documentation; and the reason for the delay in having this issued. [7084/03]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy)

I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an application for a tax clearance certificate was received from the person concerned on 7 March 2003 and that the required certificate issued to him on the same day.
