Bernard J. Durkan

459 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) will be admitted to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin, for surgery to correct a broken limb in view of the fact that they are in severe pain for 16 weeks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7934/03]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

461 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the length of time children and adults from County Mayo have to wait to see an ENT specialist in Castlebar. [7945/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 460 and 461 together.

The information in the format requested by the Deputy is not routinely collected by my Department. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to look into this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
