Vol. 563 No. 4

Written Answers - Legislative Review.

Liz McManus

Question:

118 Ms McManus asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when it is intended to publish the review of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Acts 1977 and 1988; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8122/03]

Under the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness, the Labour Relations Commission undertook a review of the operation and effectiveness of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Acts 1977 and 1988. The aim of the review was to inform decisions affecting the future of worker directors in the context of the sale of any semi-State companies covered by the Acts. The review has been completed and will shortly be considered by Government, following which it will be published.
