Question:205 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive area based payments for 2002. [8096/03]
Written Answers - Grant Payments.
A 2002 area aid application was lodged by the registered herdowner, the spouse of the person named, on 17 April 2002 and payment under the 2002 area based compensatory allowance scheme issued to him on 20 September 2002. An application for premium for seven animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme was made on 18 February 2002. Payment of the 80% advance instalment issued on 16 October 2002 to the registered herdowner, the spouse of the person named.
Under the 2002 ewe premium scheme an application was lodged in the name of the spouse of the person named on 23 January 2002 and payment issued in his name on 16 October 2002. The district veterinary office of my Department has since been informed that the herdowner is now deceased. Payment of the 20% balance under the 2002 suckler cow scheme and payment due under the 2002 ewe premium national envelope can only be made on receipt of copy of probate or letters of administration.
