174 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science when a new physical education hall will be provided at Presentation secondary school, Milltown, County Kerry; the reason for the delay in this development; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8445/03]
It is proposed to provide an extension, including a PE hall, at Presentation secondary school, Milltown, County Kerry. The design team is currently working on a stage five submission. However, in view of the scale of the 2003 capital programme as published and available on my Department's website at www.education.ie and having regard to the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, I do not envisage that my Department will be in a position to authorise any additional large scale projects to proceed to tender and construction in 2003, other than those listed in section 4 of the programme. The timing of when this project can progress to tender and construction is dependent on the funding allocation in 2004 and subsequent years.
