Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

230 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to Tallaght Hospital for a prostate operation in view of the worsening condition of this person who is no longer able to leave the house due to pain; and when they can expect to be called. [8899/03]

The provision of medical services in the case of a person from County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
