262 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 292 of 5 March 2003 and his commitment that a decision would be made shortly, the reason for the nine month delay in processing the application; if a decision will be made soon in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This application was received in my Department in June 2002. The Department subsequently requested clarification of details of the application from the person in question and the response has recently been received. Following an examination of all aspects of the case, the application has been decided and the person concerned has been notified.
