Vol. 564 No. 1

Written Answers - Flood Relief.

Paul Nicholas Gogarty

Question:

284 Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the measures which have been carried out, using State funding, to alleviate flood risk in the Finnstown, Grange Manor and Old Forge areas of Lucan following the flood of November 2000. [8675/03]

The River Griffeen flood alleviation scheme has been funded by my Department under the serviced land initiative in response to flooding incidents in the locations concerned. The works carried out under the scheme include the provision of interceptor sewers and surface water culverts, the deepening of river channel and ancillary works.
