May I ask a brief supplementary?

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

It is not usual when the reply is in form of a tabular statement. Question No. 83, please.

It would not take the Minister a great deal of time to read out the tabular statement if he cares to give the information to the House.

I have no problem reading it. I have revealed to Deputies that it is being circulated now, which I do not think normally happens. If the Deputy wishes me to take up the time for other questions I will, but what I have done is helpful to everybody.

I have a supplementary question if the Minister would not mind.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

It is not right but if the Deputy has a brief one.

I will be very brief.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

There is no precedent for it.

I appreciate that. I will be quick and very brief. I speak on behalf of Deputy Cuffe, spokesperson on the environment, who cannot be present. When the bogs are purchased from Bord na Móna, Dúchas tends to pay slightly higher than the market rate. Is this, in effect, using EU funding to subsidise Bord na Móna? What criteria would the Minister use in purchasing a bog? What safeguards is he taking to ensure adequate bogland is retained as a conservation measure? What is his policy on—

Clearly, that is a different question.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

The Deputy should table separate questions on these issues.

They are relevant in relation to conservation.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

They are not relevant to the question which asked for details of the location of the sites.
