Gay Mitchell

Question:

202 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will address the concerns of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6W regarding cutbacks at the Dublin Institute of Technology; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9903/03]

The Dublin Institute of Technology is a statutory body established under the Dublin Institute of Technology Act 1992. Under that Act, the governance and day-to-day activities of the institute are matters for which the governing body and the management staff of the institute are responsible. This includes decisions in relation to the operation and management of the Dublin Institute of Technology College of Music.
