Vol. 564 No. 5

Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.

Seamus Kirk

Question:

210 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education and Science if the building project at Scoil Uí Mhuire, Dunleer, County Louth, has passed through all stages; if the issues of design and planning have been conclusively finalised and the project awaits permission to go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9912/03]

The 2003 schools building programme has been published and full details on individual projects are available on my Department's website at www.education.ie. The extension project at Scoil Uí Mhuirí, Dunleer, County Louth, appears in section 6 of the programme. The project is at stage 4-5 of architectural planning, detail design and bill of quantities. The submission in this regard is being examined by technical staff in my Department. The timing of when the project can progress to tender and construction is dependent on the funding allocation in 2004 and subsequent years.
