Vol. 565 No. 1

Written Answers. - Schools of Music.

David Stanton

Question:

166 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Finance the involvement of his Department in the proposed new school of music project for Cork which was to be constructed by way of a public-private partnership model; the reason the project has not been allowed to proceed; the role of the CSO and EUROSTAT along with his Department at the present stage of discussions on the project; if and when the project will be allowed to proceed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10289/03]

I refer the Deputy to my reply of 5 March 2003 which dealt with the role of the CSO and EUROSTAT. The position regarding particular projects is a matter for the Minister directly concerned, in this case the Minister for Education and Science.
