53 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals for modernisation of the education sector contained in Sustaining Progress; if a timetable has been set for the implementation of these proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10195/03]

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in section 24 of the social partnership agreement, Sustaining Progress. The new agreement will last 18 months and the modernisation programme will be implemented within that time frame.
