247 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources when a foreshore licence will be granted for a sewerage scheme (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10756/03]
Consideration of an application from Mayo County Council for a foreshore licence for an outfall pipe, which forms part of the sewerage scheme in question, is at an advanced stage. A decision on this application will be conveyed to the county council in the near future.
The local authority has also sought a foreshore licence for a sea crossing of foul and water pipelines. Consideration of this application will be progressed as quickly as possible.
