322 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the position of the x-ray department at St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy; when it will be upgraded; if the equipment has been purchased; whether the equipment, if purchased, is compatible with the equipment in Naas General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests in this case with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked its chief executive to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
