Question:327 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a voluntary organisation (details supplied) in County Mayo will be approved lottery funding to upgrade its premises. [10965/03]
Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.
My Department received an application for a grant from my Department's allocation of national lottery funds on 21 August 2002 from the Castlebar Social Services Council.
The number of applications for such funding received during 2002 far exceeded the available resources. It was not possible to assist this organisation during 2002. This application, along with many others, was held for consideration in the context of the national lottery funds available to me in 2003.
The organisation is seeking funding towards the cost of re-roofing the building. This application is still under consideration for a grant from my Department. The organisation will be informed as soon as a decision has been made.
