Vol. 565 No. 4

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Willie Penrose

Question:

71 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance if a channel (details supplied) in County Westmeath, which is in need of maintenance, will be attended to as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11342/03]

The channel in question forms part of the Brosna catchment drainage scheme which is maintained by the Commissioners of Public Works under the provisions of the Arterial Drainage Act 1945. Works on the maintenance of this channel were completed in 2002 and it will be schedule for further maintenance in the 2004-05 programme of works if required.
