201 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Clare did not qualify for the 32 million litres scheme despite the fact that the person was notified of same on 29 November 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11851/03]
A letter issued to the person named on 29 November notifying him that he qualified for an allocation under the 32 million litre scheme. Unfortunately, the allocation was miscalculated in the first place, in relation to the milk supplied during the reference period. When that error was discovered, the application had to be reviewed. Based on the correct calculation, the person named did not satisfy the conditions of the scheme and the co-operative concerned was notified of the position.
