Vol. 566 No. 3

Written Answers. - Domicilliary Care Allowance.

John McGuinness

Question:

315 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an appeal for domicilliary care allowance will be granted in the name of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if a decision will be expedited. [12671/03]

The assessment of entitlement to the domiciliary care allowance, including the appeals process, in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
