Vol. 566 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

353 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be admitted to the Mater Hospital for a by-pass operation in view of the fact that there was no bed for him on a previous admission date and that he has already waited nearly 10 months for this operation. [12918/03]

The provision of medical services in the case of a person from County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
