247 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science the work that was agreed to be carried out in relation to the amalgamation of St. Kieran's boys and Presentation national school, Galvone, County Limerick; if adequate funding will be provided to carry out all of the work, including the schoolyard and painting of the building; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The 2003 school building programme was published in January 2003 and included a contingency sum for dealing with emergencies that arise throughout the year.

My Department has made provision from this contingency sum for some limited emergency works to be undertaken at the Presentation national school, Galvone, to help facilitate this amalgamation. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
