Written Answers. - Proposed Legislation.
The health strategy set as one of its objectives a commitment to introduce new legislation to pro vide for clear statutory provisions on eligibility and entitlements for health and personal social services. A review of all existing legislation relating to eligibility for services is ongoing in my Department as part of the implementation process. The outcome of this review will inform the approach to the drafting of a new legislative framework clarifying eligibility for services. I expect this review will be completed soon and that proposals for reform will be submitted to Government.
