Vol. 567 No. 1

Written Answers. - Computerisation Programme.

Bernard Allen

Question:

398 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the local authorities which have obtained the Agresso computer system; the cost; if the system is now working satisfactorily; and the cost in each local authority area to purchase and install same. [13564/03]

The final phase of the Agresso financial management system, which is working satisfactorily, is currently being rolled out to all local authorities except for the following authorities which use other systems: Cork County Council, Wexford County Council and the town councils within those counties; Dublin City Council and Cork City Council. From information supplied by the Local Government Computer Services Board, which is managing the roll-out of the Agresso system, the cost to the board of the contract with the supplier of the system, including software, licences, system development, Agresso training and system support, will amount to approximately €10.3 million. The costs to individual local authorities of the purchase and installation of the Agresso financial management system is a matter for each local authority concerned, and my Department does not have details.
