146 Mr. Allen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has received a communication from the Medical Council pointing out major inaccuracies in the recent report on competition in the medical profession; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13601/03]
I presume the Deputy is referring to the report in March last for the Competition Authority by Indecon International Economic Consultants who were selected last year to conduct the main research phase of the authoritys professions study. The authority itself is now continuing its work on the study which covers eight professions in all. I have not received any communication from the Medical Council in regard to the report.
