Question:128 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport the total cost of land acquisition arising from the Luas project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13683/03]

Information provided to me by the Railway Procurement Agency indicates that a global amount of €36 million was spent by the agency up to the end of 2002 on land acquisition in respect of the Luas project. To give any further details at this time could prejudice ongoing negotiations in relation to other property settlements for the project.
