Question:155 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health and Children when it is proposed to provide funding to proceed with the chief psychiatric hospital in the grounds of St. Joseph's Hospital, Nenagh, County Tipperary. [14130/03]
Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.
The development of a new acute psychiatric unit at Nenagh General Hospital is being planned by the Mid-Western Health Board under the national development plan. Stage 3 of this project, which involves finalising the scheme design and cost plan, is being examined by my Department with a view to completing stages 4 and 5 of the planning process. The project will then be brought forward for consideration in the context of the overall funding resources available under the national development plan.
