Vol. 567 No. 3

Written Answers. - Metal Detectors.

Tony Gregory

Question:

170 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of artefacts discovered by the illegal use of metal detectors; the dates they were recovered; the costs involved; and the recourse to law by the State. [14167/03]

I wish to advise the Deputy that the information sought is not readily available and could only be obtained by the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of staff time and resources.
