Question:

81 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when a work permit will issue in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14194/03]

There is no record of a valid work permit application having been received in my Department on behalf of the individual concerned.

Work permit applications which are incorrect or incomplete are not regarded as valid applications and are returned to the employer for completion.

Further information in relation to the immigration and residency status of the prospective employee has been requested from the employer and on receipt of this the application will be considered further.
