Vol. 567 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Joe Costello

Question:

285 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on the issues raised in correspondence (details supplied); if he will make the necessary funding available to provide the professional services required in St Mary's special school, Drumcar, County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14505/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with an intellec tual disability and those with autism in the Meath area is a matter, in the first instance, for the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the North-Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
