Vol. 567 No. 6

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Mary Upton

Question:

180 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education and Science the current position following his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 192 of 14 May 2003. [14903/03]

An official from the special education section of my Department contacted the person referred to in Question No. 192 to discuss issues of concern to her. In particular, the education provision for her child was discussed. The child is not yet of school going age. However, my Department has been funding a home tuition programme for the child since February 2003 and the parent is satisfied with this intervention.
