193 Mr. Hogan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has benchmarked insurance costs from the date of announcement of her action plan in October 2002; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15333/03]

For the purposes of comparing trends in costs of insurance, I am using the insurance sub-indices calculated from the all items consumer price index produced by the Central Statistics Office. I will also use the Motor Insurance Advisory Board premium quotation survey.
