Question:216 Mr. Cregan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if early approval for a work permit by a person (details supplied) will be arranged. [15708/03]
Written Answers. - Work Permits.
An application for the individual concerned was received on 24 April 2003. It is policy to process work permit applications in the order in which they are received. Assuming the application is completed correctly and is otherwise in order it is likely to be processed within the next two weeks. The Department is now issuing work permits at a rate of approximately 1,000 per week.
