Question:219 Mr. Cuffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the total cost of projects announced or promised by Ministers of the last Government between 1 January 2002 and 17 May 2002. [15299/03]
Written Answers. - Job Creation.
During the period in question, I announced 15 projects involving the provision of grant or equity support by the enterprise development agencies. The total cost of such projects is contingent on promoters meeting various performance commitments in relation to investment and job creation, frequently over a number of years. Responsibility for the making of payments to these projects is an operational matter for the agencies in question. The grants paid to projects in any particular year are set out in the annual reports of the industrial development agencies.
