317 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Education and Science his views on USI demands that the Government immediately replace all fees relating to third level education with direct Exchequer support; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15194/03]

My Department has no proposals to replace the funding provided to third level institutions in respect of fees by increasing their annual core funding.
