Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

John McGuinness

Question:

532 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an occupational therapist's report is available in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if the SEHB will provide the necessary home aids required by this person; if physiotherapy which is required urgently will be provided without further delay; if a mobility allowance will be granted in the case; if a full programme of support and assistance will be put in place immediately; and his views on the delay in dealing with the issues relative to this case. [15426/03]

The provision of health related services for people with physical and/or sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

Question No. 533 answered with Question No. 475.
