Paul Connaughton

Question:

544 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has provision made for funding of a high support activation day service for people leaving the TOPE facility at Ballinasloe, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15494/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to people with an intellectual disability or autism in the Galway region lies with the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the board to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.

545 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Health and Children when a full five-day service will be implemented in the Springfield CEDC facility for up to six year old children at Ballinasloe, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15495/03]

Question:

546 Ms Lynch asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of asylum seekers who have been offered screening since 14 April 2003 by each health board for infectious diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B, tuberculosis, rubella, varicella as per his Department's guidelines; the number who have been offered vaccination against tuberculosis, hepatitis B, meningitis C, HIB, pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps and rubella; and the arrangements which have been put in place in each health board area to ensure that asylum seekers receive an appropriate medical assessment. [15500/03]

Operational responsibility for the administration of the health screening for asylum seekers lies with the individual health boards.

The information requested by the Deputy has not been provided in full by all the health boards and the ERHA in the time available. This information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is received.
