Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Air Transport Regulations.

John Gormley

Question:

614 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is an increasing number of complaints regarding helicopters and noise caused by helicopters in the city; the body which regulates helicopter traffic; if this body knows the helicopters which are in the air at any given time, the areas in, and the height and time at which they are flying; his views on whether legislation needs to be introduced to regulate helicopter traffic; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15478/03]

The activities of helicopters are regulated by the Irish Aviation Authority, which would be happy to respond to any queries the Deputy may have.
