Vol. 568 No. 1

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Finian McGrath

Question:

624 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Transport if his Department will work closely with the Dublin Airport authorities to improve the facilities and services for the disabled and to ensure that all transport companies show respect and dignity to all their customers (details supplied). [15633/03]

I raised this matter with Aer Rianta which informed me that it was already aware of the details provided by the Deputy and had taken the matter up with the relevant ground handling company for the particular flight concerned. Aer Rianta has instructed the company that it may not, as it did on the occasion in question, alter without Aer Rianta's permission arrangements made in advance of flight arrivals to ensure appropriate facilities for disabled passengers.
