Question:641 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Transport the total cost of projects announced or promised by Ministers of the last Government between 1 January 2002 and 17 May 2002. [15299/03]
Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.
On 16 January 2002 the Government agreed that the development of the Dublin metro should be undertaken on a phased basis and as a public private partnership, PPP. It also decided that a link from the city centre to Dublin Airport was to be included in Phase 1. The actual cost of the metro to the Exchequer is largely dependent on the bids received from the private sector.
