Question:

647 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí that have retired in 2002 and to date in 2003; and the age and rank of each garda concerned. [15203/03]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the number of gardaí who have retired at each rank in 2002 and up to 28 May 2003 are as set out as follows:
